The PrimePath Pro 10 is a flexible premium deferred fixed index annuity. An annuity is a long-term contract issued by an insurance company. In exchange for a premium payment, the insurance company agrees to make payments to you later on. This annuity provides an accumulation value that may earn interest through a fixed account and various index accounts (if selected). While the fixed account earns a fixed rate of interest each year, index accounts earn interest credits based on how an underlying index performs. Interest credits are guaranteed to never be less than zero

Enhanced death benefit: The client has the choice between
  • Greater of accumulation value or minimum surrender value ( as a lump sum)
  • Greater of the benefit base and the benefit base floor (must be paid out in equal payments over a 5 year period) subject to the rider death benefit maximum (varies by state).
LPA multiplier: Beginning in the 3rd year, if an owner/annuitant is unable to perform 2/6 activities of daily living (ADLs) for more than 90 consecutive days, the LPA multiplier provides that the LPA can be doubled for that year. Feature available for up to 5 years as long as qualifying requirements are met annually and the accumulation value is greater than zero.  Regardless if you choose the level or increasing LPA option, your LPA multiplier benefit is double the LPA for the current year.

Benefit base floor: The benefit base floor is equal to the premiums, less any proportional reductions for withdrawals, accumulated at 1% per year until LPAs are started and 0% thereafter. When the benefit base is utilized by starting LPAs, the benefit base is guaranteed to be no less than the benefit base floor.

Waivers

Nursing Home

Unavailable in states: CA

After the first contract anniversary, if the covered person is confined to a qualified nursing home facility for at least 90 consecutive days you may withdraw up to 100% of your accumulation value without a surrender charge or MVA. If you withdraw 100% of your accumulation value, your Contract will terminate. This waiver is automatically included with your annuity at no additional charge. The nursing home waiver does not include home health care.

Withdrawal Provisions

Surrender charges During the surrender charge period, a surrender charge applies to any amount above the available penalty-free withdrawal amount. Surrender charges may result in a loss of premium. Surrender charges allow the company to invest long-term and in turn, generally offer more favorable crediting rate limits. The surrender charges for each contract year are based on the state where your Contract is issued. The surrender charge percentage in the 10th contract year for California will decrease 0.04% monthly until the surrender charge equals 0.00%. The decrease will occur on the same day in each month as the date of the contract anniversary; if the date does not exist for a given month, the date for that month will be the last calendar day of the month.
